Summerschool Den Haag - City Centre of The Hague

I don't know how to make a reservation... Help me!

Established in 2003, Summerschool Den Haag enjoys a reputation for quality teaching and a friendly international atmosphere. We are located in the city centre of The Hague in the Netherlands.

This is the place where students are getting noticed. With the focus on quality rather than quantity, small classes and professional teachers, Summerschool Den Haag is one of Holland's most appreciated schools for the personal touch in dance training.

Summerschool Den Haag is an annual event, open for non-professional and professional students who love to dance. As well as young-adults and higly motivated youngsters.

You will find  enjoyable workshops for students with no dance experience at all as well as repertory workshops by prominent dancers and rehearsal directors. In addition the school is known for her almost incomparable Step by Step Basic Ballet classes for young-adult beginners.

Each year Summerschool Den Haag offers a fresh inspiring programme joining forces with appreciated personalities in the international ballet scene coming a.o. from Compania Nationale de Danza, Cullberg Ballet, Het Nationale BalletKoninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, Nationale Balletacademie Amsterdam, Nederlands Dans Theater, Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and The Royal Ballet.

Summerschool Den Haag has the possibility of creating an individual schedule for each student and a telephone number to request a personal advise. For (pre-professional) youngsters, the Summerschool is an excellent organisation - especially if it is a first time summercourse experience - giving personal attention and guidance when making your reservation.

Summerschool is located in the city centre of the Hague, Capital of South-Holland and Royal city of the Netherlands. Right across is the Noordeinde Palace of the Dutch royal family, the Palace Garden and the cute little Pistache Café (Prinsestraat) with cappuccino, espresso and café au lait! For a small Italian bite or salade you go around the corner of Summerschool to Grapes & Olives

At the corner of streets: Noordeinde and Molenstraat you will find boutiques and the CoffeeCompany. The shopping center is within 5 minutes walking distance with the 'Plein' with restaurants and bars. All department stores and most shops are open on Sunday. You will find the Ballet Shop Dance Wear Den Haag behind the famous department Store De Bijenkorf.

Scheveningen is the most popular sea-side resort which is only a 15 minute tramride from the centre.
Interesting places to visit for culture are the Mauritshuis and the Houses of Parliament at the "Binnenhof" where you will also find the Tourist Information Office.

The balletstudio is known for its romantic and beautiful ambience. It was originally a photostudio for the Dutch photographer C.J.L Vermeulen and was transformed into a balletstudio during 1970 by former Nederlands Dans Theater dancer Mabel Alter.
