Tamas Nagy Born in Boedapest, Hungary (1975) at present principal soloist of the National Ballet, in Amsterdam and guest soloist with Hungarian National Ballet
Nagy was awarded several grants including: 1st prize of the academy’s competition; M.Horvát Academy Award, Finalist at the Osaka International Ballet Competition, 2nd prize winner of the Nureyev International Ballet Competition, Philip Morris Hungarian Ballet Award, Viktor Fülöp Scholarship of the Hungarian State, Harangozó Prize of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and EuropaS Ballet Award.
Before coming to the Netherlands in 1999, he danced with the Hungarian State Opera Ballet Company. As a guest solist he has been perfoming with Teatro Opera di Roma, Rambert Ballet, Opera de Nice, Deutcher Oper am Rhein, Royal Scottish Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Helsinki and Korean National Ballet, Seoul.
At this time Tamas Nagy is dancing prinicipal parts in great classical ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Swan Lake, Giselle and Don Quijote. And work by Balanchine, Rudi van Danzig, Hans van Manen, Glen Tetley and other well known choreographers.

Mirella Simoncini Artistic director Summerschool Den Haag.
She received her education at the Royal Balletschool of Antwerp and Nederlands Dans Theater. She is a dedicated freelance balletteacher, in charge of the private school Balletschool Mabel Alter and she is responsible for initiating the first (inter)national Summerschool in the city of the Hague 'Summerschool Den Haag'.
Her classes are visited by students and young dancers coming from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (NL), Nationale Ballet Academie (NL), Royal Ballet School (GB), Royal Balletschool of Antwerp (BE), Teatro Sesiminas Ballet Company (BR), Ecole Supèrieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Higthower (FR) and Dutch Dance Academies Fontys, ArtEZ and Codarts.
She is commited to the Student by Invitation programme which includes coaching young dancers and working with choreographers currently connected to dance companies and the freelance dance scene. She collaborated with Keith-Derrick Randolph for Inspiration Project II and with Maurice Causey for Inspiration Project III. Recently Mirella Simoncini has been teaching at Danshuis Station Zuid (Tilburg) and De Stilte (Breda).

Fernando Hernando Magadan
dancer and choreographer Nederlands Dans Theater I.
He entered the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Clasica in Madrid at age 13. Followed by an education at the London Studio Centre and the Central School of Ballet in England.
After his education, he danced at the Santamaria Compañía de Danza. He joined Nederlands Dans Theater II in 2001 and Nederlands Dans Theater I in 2004.
Hernando Magadan received a nomination for the ‘Outstanding Male Artist’ Award for the ‘Critic’s Circle’ National Dance Awards 2003.
He made several chorographies for Nederlands Dans Theater, including his most recent piece Naked Ape for the TodaysArt Festival 2009. He also made ‘Close Up’ for the Curve Foundation Dance company in Scotland and lately Hernando Magadan has been working on his creation ‘Clocks ‘n’ Clouds’ with the Cross Connection Dance Company in Denmark: world premiere in April 2010.
Besides choreographing, he also coordinated the Nederlands Dans Theater workshop (Switch) in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and has been collaborating with the company's Education Department.
In January 2010 he was invited to teach at the Dance Art Faculty of Rome.

Charlotte Chapellier at present 2nd Soloist of the National Ballet, in Amsterdam. She received her dance training in France at the Conservatory of Nantes Regional and the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and was awarded first prize Conservatoire Supérieur National de Paris in 1994.
Charlotte Chapellier danced with Opéra de Nice in France and the Boston Ballet in the USA, before joining the Dutch National Ballet in 1997. Where she became Grand Sujet in 2002 and has been 2nd soloist since 2006.
She performed work by a.o. Rudi van Dantzig, Hans van Manen, George Balanchine, Ted Brandsen, Krzysztof Pastor and Nicolo Fonte. And she has been teaching and setting works in various companies such as: Polish National Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Ballet Nationale de Marseille, Noord Nederlanse Dans, het Nationale Ballet and National Ballet of Turkey.

Lisa Drake Rehearsal Director Cullberg Ballet.
After graduating from Canada´s National Ballet School, Lisa Drake began a long career with Netherlands Dans Theater (NDT I & II). At NDT she worked extensively with choreographers such as Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Hans van Manen, Nacho Duato, William Forsythe and the company´s director Jiri Kylian.
In 1998 she began freelancing from her new base in Stockholm both as dancer and choreographer´s assistant. She joined Cullberg Ballet in 2001 and was awarded the Riksteater stipendium for best dancer 2003.
She has been setting works of Stijn Celis and Johan Inger and has given several workshops of both these choreographers material as well as that of Mats Ek. Since spring 2009 she is rehearsal director with Cullberg Ballet.

Irena Misirlić dancer with Dance Works Rotterdam and choreographer for a.o. Korzo Productions.
Her education started in Sarajevo under the leadership of director of the National Ballet Edina Papo. She attended the Ballet Studio of Croatian National Ballet of Split and successfully finished High School of Arts & High School for Classical Ballet in Zagreb under the leadership of Irena Pasaric, current ballet director of the National Theater of Zagreb.
She received a study grant by Stichting Dansersfonds in 2001 and was nominated ‘most talented young Croatian’ through the Vecernjakov citizenship 2009 Award.
Misirlić danced in works by Andre Gingras, Leina & Roebana, Pascal Touzeau, Phillip Adams, Bruno Listopad, Stephen Petronio, Ton Simons, Sjoerd Vreugdenhil and others.
In collaboration with Vanja Sabic and Dance works Rotterdam she created 'Travelogue' an educational and performing dance project which was performed in the Netherlands, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

How much classical technique do you need as a Modern dancer?

Monique Sand dedicated teacher of classical ballet. She received her education in Toulon, France with a Russian teacher. She danced with Le Ballet Grand Théâtre de Genève and Serge Golovine and became a solist in Hamburg, where she worked with Victor Gsovsky and George Balanchine.
She has been a leading dancer with the Dutch National Ballet from 1970 till 1982. She danced classical and contemporary repertoire including: Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Etudes and work by a.o. Hans van Manen, Rudi van Danzig, Roland Petit and Glen Tetley.
Later she became a regular teacher at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. For her contribution as a dancer and teacher in the Dutch Ballet scene Monique Sand was awarded the special ‘Dansprijs 2007’ by the Stichting Dansersfonds '79.
During her 23 years at the Royal Conservatoire she educated many young talents who are currently dancing with major companies such as the Stutgart Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet.
This summer Monique Sand will be teaching ballet and pointe work at Summerschool Den Haag

Fabienne Vegt Dutch dancer born in Leiderdorp now performing with Nederlands Dans Theater II. She received her dance education at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
At the age of 19 she danced with Europa Danse (directed by Jean-Albert Cartier) performing works by Jiri Kylian Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin. With the Dutch National Ballet she danced a.o. Jewels, Nutcracker, Swanlake, La Bayadere and Sandpaper Ballet. She has been involved in projects working with Edd Schouten, Karine Guizzo, Natalia Horecna and 'De Ketering' (making a dance film).
The repertoire she is dancing now with Nederlands Dans Theater includes work by Jiri Kylian, Hans van Manen, Ohad Naharin, Lukas Timulak, Marco Goecke and Alexander Ekman.

Mabel Alter Former dancer with the Ballet van de Nederlands Opera, het Nederlands Ballet and one of the pioneers of Nederlands Dans Theater.
She received her education by Lilly Green and Sonia Gaskells Ballet Recitel. The classical and contemporary repertoire she has been dancing, includes work by: Rudi van Dantzig, John Butler (Carmina Burana), George Balanchine (a.o. Symphonie in C) and Hans van Manen (o.a. Klaar Af, Symphony in Three Movements, Feestgericht, Metaforen and Point Of No Return).
Mabel Alter has been teaching classical technique at the international contemporay school: Codarts Rotterdamse Dansacademie. And is the founder of the distinguished international private school for classical ballet 'Balletschool Mabel Alter' in the city centre of The Hague.
